Trade In Information
Thank you for considering Big Sky RV and potentially trading in your current camper. We believe Big Sky RV pays as much, or more, for good used RVs on trade as any dealer in the USA. However Big Sky RV no longer engages in trade-in over-allowance.
In most cases Big Sky RV will pay in cash the same price as was allowed for most trade-ins as part of a sale*. No over-allowance, no Smoke and Mirrors.
Big Sky RV recommends that potential RV buyers ask other dealers who may be showing them more for the potential trade-in to write a check to them for the allowed amount. Many dealers simply will not because they are using what is commonly referred to as a trade-in over allowance. Trade-in over-allowance is a common practice. This is where the price of the unit is elevated higher, and the customer is being shown more on paper than the dealer is actually giving them. The elevated price is not what a different client paid for the same camper in a no-trade scenario. What did you truly pay for your camper? This can get confusing and unfortunately is often used to deceive buyers into thinking they are receiving above market value for their trade-in.
We believe where the rubber meets the road on RV trade-in purchases is the out the door difference. When it comes to apples-to-apples RV trade-in deals, we believe we can offer a highly competitive trade difference while providing a great value overall.
Factors that may affect your Trade-In value.
- NADA Book Value
- Wholesale Market Value
- Lending sources used collateralization policies
- Floor-plan and Condition
*Big Sky RV retains the discretion to choose not to purchase any trade-in for any reason.
